Looking at the Fanatic Fly 9’ 6” (134L) SUP (Wood Sandwich constriction). Comes with windsurfing rig mast-tracks. Any comments or opinions?
Here is a video of this board in action... Edited by Dan Perelman on Mar 13, 2010 8:02 PM |

I think it might be quite small to catch small waves. I am looking at those right now:
Starboard Whopper 10.0 x 34 -> 168 L http://www.star-board... Starboard hero 9.0 x 33 -> 146 L http://www.star-board... How do I find out if they can carry a windsurf sail? Harald |

I think it might be quite small to catch small waves. I am looking at those right now: I believe the only Starboard model that can be used for windsurfig is the SUPer (12'6"x 30" or 12'0"x 32"). It's listed on their windsurfing website, not the SUP website -- http://www.star-board... Regards, Dan |

I really do not know too much about the dual use. You might look at the Kona One (see http://www.lbwindsurf...

Naish Mana series looks very good - boards are wide, short and stable:
http://www.naishsurfi... Mana 10' x 32'' with 210 Liters - that should work, might just still fit into my car and storage... Now I just need to find a store for all the options to try them out this summer - |

Any thoughts on using SUPs on Hudson river? Would they handle the currents better than kayaks?
